This course builds upon foundational knowledge of abnormal behavior by expanding students’ understanding of mental disorders, diagnostic processes, and treatment considerations in counseling practice. Students engage in deeper exploration of psychopathology, differential diagnosis, and case conceptualization. The course also introduces the role of psychopharmacology in the treatment of mental disorders.
