This course, in conjunction with the student's parish assignment, will focus on the pastor's role in ensuring the catechetical formation of the parish, with particular emphasis on the methodologies available to ensure adequate instruction in the faith. Engaged in the catechetical program for children in his
parish assignment, the student will reflect upon the shape and nature of initial faith formation of children and their preparation for the sacraments of initiation.
