This course provides an overview of separation processes used in the chemical industry, including distillation, absorption, extraction, adsorption, and membrane separation. Students will learn the principles and applications of different separation processes and their role in the production of various chemicals, such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and polymers. Students will also learn how to design and optimize separation processes based on their specific separation requirements, including the selection of appropriate equipment, the determination of operating conditions, and the evaluation of performance.
