This course will cover fundamental concepts of nanotechnology. After introducing underlying theoretical concepts the relationship between structure, properties (mechanical, electrical, optical, chemical, magnetic), and performance of nanomaterials is investigated. Characterization and fabrication methods, as well as applications are discussed.
