Accessibility of Digital and Campus Resources
The University is committed to promoting access to educational programs, services, activities, facilities, and information for all members of the campus community. Accessibility is a shared responsibility among students, faculty, staff, and administrators and supports the University's commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
The University strives to provide accessible academic, residential, technological, and campus resources in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended.
Students who encounter barriers to access in academic programs, campus facilities, digital resources, online course materials, University websites, or other University-sponsored activities are encouraged to notify the Office of Access and Disability Services (ADS) as soon as possible. Examples of accessibility concerns may include:
- inaccessible course materials
- inaccessible digital content or websites
- captioning concerns
- barriers related to classroom, housing, or campus facilities
- inaccessible technology or software, or
- barriers to participation in University programs, services, or activities.
The University will make reasonable efforts to identify, evaluate, and address reported accessibility concerns in a timely manner. In some situations, the University may work collaboratively with faculty, Information Technology, Facilities, Residence Life, or other campus offices to identify appropriate solutions and support access.
Students seeking disability-related accommodations should follow the accommodation request process through the Office of Access and Disability Services. Requests for accommodations are evaluated through an individualized interactive process and are distinct from the University's efforts to improve the accessibility of campus resources and environments.
Questions regarding accessibility, accommodations, or accessibility-related concerns may be directed to the Office of Access and Disability Services.
