This course is a second-year graduate level one credit hour course that combines lecture and laboratory components. The goal of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to learn and subsequently practice the most common experimental skills in semiconductor manufacturing. Topics include the introductions to vacuum systems, microscopes, scanning electron microscopes, scanning probe microscopes, lithography, thin-film deposition systems, probe stations, cryostats, electrical measurements, and optical measurements.
