Encourages the development of students with enhanced gender and ethnic
consciousness of the Hispanic world. The student will develop a familiarity with,
an appreciation for, and an ability to interpret and evaluate Hispanic literature and
studio art by women, keeping gender and ethnic consciousness in mind.
