Accessible Information Management (AIM)
The University utilizes Accessible Information Management (AIM) as the online accommodation management system for the Office of Access and Disability Services (ADS). AIM serves as the primary platform for students, faculty, and ADS staff to coordinate disability accommodations and related services.
Students approved for accommodations are responsible for maintaining an active AIM account and using the system to manage accommodation-related requests and services. Through AIM, students may:
- submit accommodation requests and supporting documentation,
- review approved accommodations,
- request accommodation notification letters,
- schedule accommodated examinations in the ADS Testing Center, and
- communicate with ADS regarding accommodation-related needs.
Students are encouraged to review their accommodations and submit accommodation requests through AIM at the beginning of each semester. Accommodations are not retroactive and generally become effective after the accommodation process has been completed and accommodation notifications have been issued.
Faculty members utilize the AIM Instructor Portal to review accommodation notifications, complete Testing Agreements, and submit testing instructions and materials for accommodated examinations.
Students experiencing difficulties accessing or utilizing AIM should contact the Office of Access and Disability Services for assistance. Maintaining timely communication and monitoring University email communications related to AIM are important responsibilities of students utilizing accommodations.
The University reserves the right to modify procedures, workflows, or system requirements associated with AIM as needed to support the effective administration of accommodations and accessibility services.
