This course explores the epic cinema of the 1980s, a decade marked by blockbuster hits and larger-than-life heroes. Students will study the themes, styles, and cultural context of epic narratives in film, including the works of filmmakers such as James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, and Ridley Scott.
