This upper-division Microbiology course explores the structure, function, physiology, metabolism and genetics of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Emphasis is placed on understanding the diversity of microbes, how they adapt and survive, and their role in human health, infectious disease, and environmental systems.

BIOL Upper-Division Prerequisite: BIOL 3321. Prerequisites require grade of 'C' or higher.
